ENTRY 2 AND ENTRY 3 PROCESS WRITING

ENTRY 2
General-to-specific
Smoking cigarettes is a dangerous and addictive habit that can lead to a number of life-threatening diseases. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, around 21 percent of adults in the United States regularly smoke cigarettes, and 20 percent of American high school students have smoked cigarettes in the past 30 days. The risk of smoking increases as consumption of cigarettes increases, and the younger a person begins smoking, the greater their risk of smoking-related disease later in life. In addition to heart disease, smoking is linked to the development of several fatal cancers.

ENTRY 3
Cohesive devices
Furthermore, Mao resorted to Hundred Flowers campaign in 1957. A new class of engineers and technicians was produced which were mainly party cadres who helped the development of China. Most of these members supervised the communes and cooperative farms. In line with this campaign areas such as sanitation, education and rural poverty were tackled with enormous energy and considerable success. When Mao came to power China was in a siege of political instability, unstable bureaucracy system and factions within his party and the gorvenment. As put forward by Lee Feigon Mao was ‘was a man of no nonsense, blood leader of unparalled abilities’, meaning he had so much zest in dealing with chaotic masses which was in his party and the rest of government. He adopted the constitution of 1950 which gave power to the legislative assembly. The chairman of the republic was to make sure that all laws stated in the constitution were to be implemented and followed without failure. Through the decisions making body was centered on communist politburo but there was restoration of order in China controlled by a more stable government.

Strategies of Conclusion:
a)    Suggestions
These are just a few of the causes and effects of deforestation. The consequences are very unpleasant as every form of life on earth is interlinked with one another. Not only do animals lose their homes, but humans dependent on the local ecology are also affected. The water cycle gets disturbed leading to floods and droughts. People dependent on the forests for their survival lose their livelihood. Global warming is another problem looming over our heads. The causes and its effects of this destructive practice can be stopped to some extent, if we all do our bit towards the environment. Reduce emissions by avoiding use of cars and bikes indiscriminately. Make our factories more cleaner and monitor their emissions. Develop better ways of farming that help increase the yield without having an impact on the neighboring forest areas. Forest management and strict monitoring of tree cutting should be carried out by various government and other nonprofit agencies. Reforestation of lost areas and following sustainable practices will help us balance our green cover. Remember, trees give us life, without them it will be impossible to sustain life.
b)    Prediction
America's lifestyle has changed over the years, with it so has America's waistlines. Lack of knowledge amongst people has prevented the hidden causes of obesity over the years, and some think that it is just their loved one's slothful actions. To add to that, America has grown into a fast-paced society. The unhealthy drive-thru food has cut down time for many, yet there is still no time found for working out. If people cannot spot these causes and find a way to balance food and exercise, then America is in for some heavy trouble.
